The rich digital colors I’ve mixed and painted are modeled after the factory colors available in the years depicted. My design strategy is to draw accurate details, create reflections and shadows in the paint, chrome and glass finishes that will exceed what normally a camera will capture. The artistic backgrounds are often simplified bringing viewer focus to the automobiles.

I have a soft spot for Jags, having owned a Canary Yellow 63’ XKE coupe sometime ago. The DOHC inline six with high compression head really motivated you down the road in style. Like my XKE, the earlier dual headlight XJS models have always really appealed to my designer senses. 

I chose a XJS convertible in Blue Metallic showing Beige leather interior and a V12 Black coupe a tribute to the XKE inspired roof line to paint in my composition. Details are correct and will stand up to the enthusiast’s closer examination. You may find room for these two Jags or gift to another deserving Jag lover. 18×24” format prints available.
