The rich digital colors I’ve mixed and painted are modeled after the factory colors available in the years depicted. My design strategy is to draw accurate details, create reflections and shadows in the paint, chrome and glass finishes that will exceed what normally a camera will capture. The artistic backgrounds are often simplified bringing viewer focus to the automobiles.

1968-1972 Chrome Bumper C3 Corvettes Original Artwork Print

Today the C3 is viewed as a collectible throwback to the muscular 60s-70s. Looking Stylish, with sexy sweeping lines, makes it one of the most recognized Corvette designs ever. Today vintage C3 big block 4-speed convertibles, with rare options are commanding the highest prices with other C3s following suit.
I’ve also, enjoyed owning a couple of the Chrome Bumper C3s. One Jet Black Coupe 4-speed, also an Elkhart Green convertible automatic. Both 350s had major mods to spice up their low compression engines. Summer night drives offered pleasurable rides with T-tops off or the top down. Their burbled exhaust notes of willing small blocks pleased me and often drew street attention with thumbs up pedestrians.
