The rich digital colors I’ve mixed and painted are modeled after the factory colors available in the years depicted. My design strategy is to draw accurate details, create reflections and shadows in the paint, chrome and glass finishes that will exceed what normally a camera will capture. The artistic backgrounds are often simplified bringing viewer focus to the automobiles.

BMW M3 DTM Original Automotive Artwork Print

DTM initials stand for Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters or German Touring Car Masters. Some call it NASCAR with a German accent. The BMW illustrated is a racing engineered M3. Sporting a V-8 pushing 480 HP, top end of 186 mph, and weight at 2310 pounds. You’ll find these special M3 and M4 DTM series cars on YouTube performing on tracks in Europe. Being a BMW enthusiast, I just had to paint one of these White, Blue and Red beasts in motion.
